Global Academy International has earned the Qatar National School Accreditation on Tuesday, 25th April 2017, in line with its aim to deliver quality education to students. The Academy also received the renewal of its AdvancED Accreditation with honours for a period of five years, following its last accreditation in 2012.
Both accreditations recognise the academy’s continuous efforts in maximising learning outcome through its range of competitive academic programmes and teaching systems. As part of the process, the school conducted a comprehensive self-assessment, involving students, parents, and staff to chart out an effective development plan for itself. This was followed by a rigorous on site-review that entailed school visits and monitoring by professional teams from both organizations as well as interviewed all stakeholders.
Commenting on the accreditation, the Principal of Global Academy International, Mrs. Ismat Al-Sheikh, said: “Global Academy International is honoured to earn the prestigious QNSA and AdvancED accreditations. They are a significant testament of our commitment towards providing a holistic development programme to ensure that every student is granted quality education.”
She added: “At GAI, we aim to raise a new generation of proactive individuals, within a caring, inspiring learning atmosphere. We believe in the need to abide by all the factors leading to the achievement of the educational objectives as part of the learning process. This begins with the implementation of the directives of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, followed by the involvement of the teachers, administrators and community organisations, at every stage of the process. This way, we create a model of sustained learning that shapes our students academic and moral well-being. We express our sincere gratitude and appreciation to all stakeholders, for their continuous support and cooperation for the success of the educational institution, especially the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, teachers, administrators and parents.”
The QNSA is a national accreditation system built to introduce educational reforms among existing schools in Qatar. Meanwhile, AdvancED represents the largest community of education professionals in the world that offers independent, third-party assessments of schools to ensure all learners realise their full potential.
