Global Academy International wins top accreditation for world-class education

Global Academy International has earned the Qatar National School Accreditation on Tuesday, 25th April 2017, in line with its aim to deliver quality education to students. The Academy also received the renewal of its AdvancED Accreditation with honours for a period of five years, following its last accreditation in 2012.

Both accreditations recognise the academy’s continuous efforts in maximising learning outcome through its range of competitive academic programmes and teaching systems. As part of the process, the school conducted a comprehensive self-assessment, involving students, parents, and staff to chart out an effective development plan for itself. Qatar Airways successfully brings hundreds of Qatari passengers from KSA to Doha via Muscat

Qatar Airways announced today that all three flights organised by the airline last night to bring passengers from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) to Qatar have successfully reached Doha. All passengers arrived safely home in Qatar yesterday via Muscat.

The flights, chartered on Oman Air, departed King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah at 16:00, 22:00 and 23:00 local (KSA) time on Tuesday and landed in Muscat. A connecting Qatar Airways flight then transported the passengers from Muscat onward to Doha.

Qatar tops MENA region in Global Peace Index

The State of Qatar topped the Middle East and North African (MENA) region in Global Peace Index (GPI) in 2017 for the ninth year in a row. Qatar retained the first place among the Arab countries and placed 30th on the global level among 163 countries. Qatar scored a rate of 1.664, marking a (0.052) improvement compared to last year.

The report, issued by the London Institute for Economics and Peace in collaboration with the Center for Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of Sydney, has listed Qatar as the only country in the Middle East and North Africa region among the 50 most secure countries in the world. This reflects Qatar’s global security status, which is consistent with the Qatar National Vision 2030 and the Ministry of Interior’s strategy to enhance security and security at the state level.
